1. ECOWAS Member States Rejected Mali's Forceful Change Of Govt

Heads of State of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) have jointly rejected the move to change the political face of the Malian Government with the use of force.

2. Kanayo O Kanayo Bags Law Degree

Nollywood veteran actor Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, popularly known as Kanayo O Kanayo has announced, on social media, that he is now a lawyer.

3. We Have To Take To Fund Infrastructure, Woo Investors - Buhari

In a justification of the loans taken by the current administration, the President, Muhammadu Buhari, said that the country has "to take loans to fund infrastructure" to attract investors."

4. Soyinka On Buhari's Administration: 'It Takes A Real Genius To Spend Four Years Doing Nothing'

Nobel laureate and playwright, Wole Soyinka, describes the current administration as "genius", as he says that it had spent "four years actually doing nothing."

The words of the playwright echo those of the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who decried the state of the nation, stating that it was further divided under  the Buhari-led administration; a comment that led to the Presidency dubbing him the "divider-in-chief". Read more here.

5. Fuel Price Hike: FG Labour Meeting Ends In Deadlock, TUC To Go Ahead With Industrial Action

A meeting between the Federal Government, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) ended in deadlock as the parties failed to reach an agreement on the issue of fuel Price hike and electricity tariff increment.

The meeting which lasted for 8 hours at the banquet hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, began at about  11 and ended around past  7 pm on Tuesday. Read more here.

6. Ayobo Land Grabbers Feud: Accused Pastor Adebayo Refutes Allegations

The founder of Endtime Heavenly Revival Ministries, Pastor Femi Adebayo has debunked allegations that he used thugs to ambush residents of Igbo Ilogbo community of Ayobo, Lagos State.

7. Fuel Price Hike: Value Of New Minimum Wage Eroded- NLC

The president of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba has said that the value of the recently increased minimum wage had been eroded by the hike in fuel price and electricity tariff.

Wabba who made this disclosure during a dialogue between the Federal government and the organized labour at the presidential villa on Tuesday, faulted the failure of the government to consult the people before going ahead with fixing the new prices. Read more here.

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has reacted to the sudden of suspected Yahoo boy, identified as Remi, and three other persons who reportedly had an accident on Tuesday, September 15 in Osun State.

10. President Buhari Says Nigeria Now In Same Level With Developed Countries

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed why his administration depends on borrowing as Nigeria's debt reaches N31 trillion while stating Nigeria is now at par with developed countries. AllNews had reported that Nigeria's debt rose from NGN28.62 trillion in March 2020 to NGN31 trillion as at the end of June 2020.

While addressing the debt situation, President Buhari blamed poor infrastructure, stating that in order to provide better infrastructure, there's need to borrow. He stated that loans are needed to construct rails and improve the poor power supply. Read more here.
