Nigerian Pilgrim In Saudi Arabia Dies

A Nigerian pilgrim identified as Hajiya Aisha Ahmad has died in the holy land of Saudi Arabia after an illness.

Ahmad who hails from Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State died on Wednesday.

This was disclosed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by the executive secretary of the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board, Alhaji Idris Al-Makura in the holy land.

He said the deceased left Nigeria healthy before her death. 

“The deceased had no medical history at the time of departure to the Holy Land and we are together in Madinah. The pilgrim took ill two days ago.

“She was first taken to the National Hajj Commission’s Hospital in Makkah and later transferred to the King Abdulaziz Hospital where she passed on.

"The family was duly informed of the death."

He further explained that a video recording of the deceased's burial rites was made available to the family.
