Vinsighte, a Nigerian start-up, makes "smart" reading glasses that translate text into audio as one of its many products to help the blind and visually challenged.
According to the World Health Organization, 15.3% of the world's blind people live in Africa, where they frequently lack the tools and assistance required to excel in both school and daily life.
Vinsighte CEO Kolawole Tomi remarked, "I just wanted to try and see if we could design anything that could fix the problem and that was where it all started."
The business claims that it has reached roughly 5,000 people through distributing its products to schools and institutions.
