Nigerian Troops Ambush Bandits, Kill Three in Kaduna

Nigerian troops have recorded success during an ambush on bandits enclave, killing three in Kaduna State. 

The ambush was carried out by the troops of the Army Operation Forest Sanity on Thursday.

During the ambush operation at the Tsohon Kabai-Kubusu forest in Chikun Local Government Area of the state, the troops recovered arms and ammunitions.

Major General Musa Danmadami, Director, Defence Media Operations, made this known in a statement on Thursday night.

He said the military high command has commended the troops for the success recorded while urging the public to support them with credible information on the activities of the terrorists. 

"Today, 1 June 2023, troops from Operation FOREST SANITY ambushed a bandit enclave along the road TSOHON KABAI-KUBUSU Forest in CHIKUN Local Government Area of KADUNA State.

"During the Operation, troops had contact with the bandits and following a fire fight, (3) three terrorists were neutralized.

"Items recovered are two (2) AK 47 rifles, four (4) magazines, sixteen (16) rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunitions, hard drugs, assorted charms and (1) motorcycles.

"The military high command commends troops of Operation FOREST SANITY and encourages the public to avail troops with credible and timely information on terrorist and all criminal activities within their area," Danmadami stated.
