Nigerian Troops Rescue Two More Chibok Girls In Borno

Nigerian troops of the North East Operation Hadin Kai have rescued two more Chibok girls from Boko Haram captivity in Borno State. 

The two girls were identified as Yana Pogu and Rejoice Sanki. 

This was disclosed to newsmen in Maiduguri by the Theatre Commander of the OPHK, Major General Christopher Musa.

While presenting the girls and their children to newsmen, the General Officer Commanding, Major General Shuaibu Waidi said the girls would be handed over to the Borno state government after medical evaluation. 

He explained that among the four children were two boys and twin girls at Mairari village in Bama Local Government Area.

As reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Waidi said: “In the same vein, on October 2, 2022, Rejoice Sanki, who is number 70 on the list of Chibok girls, was rescued with her two children by troops of 222 Battalion in Kawuri area."
