Nigerians React To Pastor Adeboye's Tweet

A specific and controversial tweet in a thread of tweets by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye, has sparked a conversation on the social media platform, Twitter.

On Wednesday, a tweet was made from Adeboye's personal account where he said that he had advised his son to fire his secretary because his son had disclosed to him that he was "excited to resume in (sic) the office."

One of my sons once told me that he was always excited to resume in the office every Monday because he would get to see his secretary again. I told him to fire her immediately. Nothing and no one is worth your marriage.

Twitter users have responded to the tweet, some criticizing the pastor for his 'ill-thought-out' tweet, while some praised him and some used humour to tackle the subject.
