NiMet Predicts 3 Days Haziness, Sunshine From Monday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted haziness and sunshine from Monday to Wednesday, according to its weather outlook released on Sunday in Abuja.

It revealed that there will be dust haze conditions over the northern region throughout the forecast period with visibility range of 2km to 5km on Monday.

According to the agency, the North Central region is expected to be in dust haze atmosphere within the forecast period.

The agency forecast patches of cloud in sunny condition with localized thunderstorms over the southern part of Ogun State in the afternoon and evening hours moving down to the inland.

It further forecast that coastal cities will have patches of cloud in sunny condition with localized thunderstorms over Calabar, Eket, Yenagoa, Ikeja and Port Harcourt in the afternoon and evening hours.

“For Tuesday, Sunny and hazy conditions are expected over the North and North Central regions throughout the forecast period. Patches of cloud in sunny condition is anticipated over the inland.

“Coastal cities during morning hours are anticipated to be in cloudy conditions with sunshine intervals while localized thunderstorms will prevail over
Calabar, Eket, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Asaba, Benin, Warri and Ikeja later in the day,” it said.

NiMet envisaged sunny and hazy conditions over the North and North Central region throughout the forecast period on Wednesday.

It anticipated that inland cities of the South will be dominated with patches of cloud in sunny condition throughout the forecast period.

According to the agency, the coastal cities are expected to be cloudy with sunshine intervals within the forecast period.
