The above was made known by the commission on its official Twitter account on Thursday, and comes following various reports of Nigerians being unable to get their NIN.

Since the NIN registration exercise commenced late last year, many have complained about the futility of the whole process as they have been repeatedly told to come back to conclude the registration.
Even with the recent extension of the deadline, it is believed that nothing will be done to those who fail to register, and this has made many citizens ignore the repeated calls from the commission to get their NIN.
