Nintendo, Mobile Games Developer DeNA Introduce Nintendo Sys

The joint venture firm known as Nintendo Systems was officially launched on Monday according to the Nintendo’s Japanese website.

In a statement published on the new Nintendo Systems website, Nintendo and DeNA stated that "Nintendo Systems was formed in April 2023, driven by a team of engineers from Nintendo and DeNA, to design a system that makes it simple to distribute Nintendo entertainment to customers" (loosely translated from Japanese to English).

In 2015, Nintendo and DeNA began their eight-year cooperation. Super Mario Run, Mario Kart Tour, Pokémon Masters, and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp are just a few of the games the two businesses have collaborated on.

“The technology surrounding the Internet is changing at a dizzying pace day by day and is becoming more complex.

"Under these circumstances, Nintendo Systems will leverage the relationship of trust between Nintendo and DeNA, which has been cultivated through a partnership of more than seven years, and use Nintendo’s originality and DeNA’s knowledge of technology as the driving force to create new innovations for the world,” the companies added.

What specifically the two businesses are now working on jointly is not yet known. No games or software have been announced as of yet.

Tetsuya Sasaki, who works at Nintendo, is in charge of Nintendo Systems.

As a software developer for the Entertainment Analysis & Development Division, Sasaki joined the business in 1995.

He has been given credit for his work on games including Mario Kart DS, Wii Sports, Animal Crossing: Wild World, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
