Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC), Kano State Council has asked workers in the state to replenish their minds and energy in 2022.
The state Chairman, Comrade (Dr.) Kabiru Ado Minjinbir and the state's Secretary, Comrade Hussain Budah made the call in a statement they jointly signed and made available to newsmen in Kano.
The statement added that though 2021 came with its challenges, it is gone now and workers should intensify prayers for better 2022.
It particularly stated that there is a need for prayers for the return of peace and stability in the country.
"We would also like to use this opportunity to call on all workers in the state to replenish their minds and energy to engage themselves in prayers for a better year2022 with full peace and tranquility to continue to rein in our dear state in particular and the nation at large," the statement reads.
The statement also expressed shock and sadness over the death of prominent statesmen including late Ado Gwaram, Late Datti Ahmed, and Late Inuwa Musa Kwankwaso all in December 2021.
It also expressed sadness over the death of Alhaji Othman Bashir Tofa in January, saying the state has lost an embodiment of hope and inspiration to the younger generation.
The statement prayed that they find peace in the hereafter.
