The Nigeria LPG Association (NLPGA), the representative organisation for all parties involved in the LPG sector has announced that it will collaborate with Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) and NNPC Limited to host an international conference and exhibition with the title '15 years of Domestic LPG Supply Intervention: Looking Back and Looking Forward' to mark the program's 15th anniversary.
The event will take place in Victoria Island's Eko Hotels and Convention Center on October 25 and 26, 2022, in Lagos.
According to Felix Ekundayo, President of the NLPGA, NLNG's Domestic Supply Intervention laid the critical groundwork for a market that has increased by over 1,000% from 60,000MT in 2007 to 1.3MT and is continually expanding.
Ekundayo said one of the most significant characteristics of the intervention is that it significantly reduced supply disruptions and gave birth to several indigenous enterprises in Nigeria's LPG market.
This program's 15th anniversary, which coincides with the Decade of Gas as declared by the Federal Government of Nigeria, is an ideal time to reflect on the successes of the initiative and to consider the opportunities presented by a 200 million-person population, particularly in the low-hanging fruit sectors of power generation, autogas, agriculture, and technology.
