The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, and other military personnel.
This is contained in a condolence letter signed by the NMA President, Professor Innocent Ujah, and Secretary, Dr. Philips Ekpe, made available to newsmen in Abuja.
The association also consoled the families of other military officers that died in the crash.
“We share in the pains and grief of the presidency and other Nigerians over the death of the military officers.
“We are pained because the nation has lost a rare breed and one of her most decorated intelligent tactical officers.
“The late chief of army staff is hugely experienced in tackling insurgency and banditry, it is sad that he died when his services are most needed,” it said.
NMA prayed for the peaceful repose of the victims and prayed God Almighty to grant their families the fortitude to bear the losses.
