NNPP Guber Candidate Pledges Revamping Of Education In Yobe

Malam Garba Umar, the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Yobe, has vowed to revamp education in the state if elected.

The NNPP candidate made this promise at the inauguration of the party’s office in Bakata, Potiskum Local Government Area of Yobe.

Umar said if elected, he would build more primary and secondary schools and see to the employment of more teachers.

He noted that the Yobe State education sector is not receiving the deserved attention, stating that he would constitute committees of principal stakeholders at the ward level to rectify the situation.

“We will ensure that all children of the poor get education to become useful in the future.

“We will try our best to ensure that Western and Islamic education of our children is improved upon,’’ the guber candidate guaranteed.
