Biafran activist, Nnamdi Kanu on Thursday vowed that "there’s no going back" on the newly-launched Eastern Security Network (ESN), AllNews reports.
Kanu, the self-exiled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) made this pledge on his known Twitter handle.
According to Kanu, 'Nigeria is a failed state'.
Kanu's IPOB is agitating for the secession and sovereignty of Eastern Nigeria, AllNews understands.
Recall Carolyn Okorafor, the Principal Secretary to Kanu, had posited on Tuesday that 'there is indisputable evidence that shows that many people were killed in the East in 2020'.
Okorafor as well opined via her known Twitter handle that "there is also indisputable evidence that shows the lack of action the government took to stop such killings".
These, the legal practitioner says are the reasons Kanu, the self-exiled IPOB leader, created the ESN about two weeks ago.
"As Nigeria melts down to becoming a failed State, Eastern Nigeria will not be a sitting duck. We will take all appropriate measures to secure our people against both State & non-State merchants of terror. #ESN is the first buffer & there’s no going back. Never!" Kanu stated.

AllNews reports that while outlawed IPOB maintains that the ESN is a vigilante group established to protect Biafrans against terrorists, top southeast politicians did not throw their weight behind the formation of the security outfit.
