No Room For Indolence In University Of Ilesa - VC

The Vice Chancellor, University of Ilesa, Professor Taiwo Ashaolu has said the institution will do its best to deliver on its mandate of providing quality education for its students in line with the best global practice.

Ashaolu made the promise while playing host to the managemnt of Radio Nigeria, Gold FM Ilesa led by Dokun Ladele on a courtesy visit to the institution

Professor Ashaolu who condemned the situation whereby results were delayed for no just cause promised that henceforth students would get their results latest three weeks after writing such exams  

The Don disclosed that the management had embarked on re-orientation programmes for the staff, many of whom transited from the defunct College of Education, Ilesa to the academic system.

He noted that it was no longer business as usual for late comers as the school would not condone indiscipline.

Professor Ashaolu expressed the readiness of his institution to partner Gold FM in its effort to ensure academic excellence and instill moral value in both the lecturers and staff of the institution

While congratulating the state governor, Ademola Adeleke on his victory at the Supreme Court, the Vice Chancellor urged the university community and the host to collaborate in order to achieve the purpose for establishing the Ivory tower.

Earlier in his address, the General Manager, Radio Nigeria, Gold FM, Ilesa, Dokun Ladele called for a partnership between the university and the station.

Present at the visit were top management staff of the institution and Gold FM.
