Gaint wireless network company, Nokia, announces that the company's CEO, Rajeev Suri, is stepping down from office and will be succeeded by an energy executive Pekka Lundmark.
Nokia revealed on Monday that Pekka Lundmark who is currently president and CEO of Finnish energy company Fortum will succeed the Former Rajeev Suri from Sept. 1.
The company added that the former CEO Suri had given insight to the board about his intention to step down from his office once the company has a solid replacement in place.
Suri an Indian–Singaporean business executive, who has worked at Nokia for 25 years, will leave his post on Aug. 31. He will serve as an advisor until Jan. 1, 2021.
He was the CEO of Nokia Solutions and Networks from 2015 and held various positions in Nokia since 1995.
