Veteran Nollywood actress Shan George has lost her mother in the early hours of today.
She took to her Instagram page to announce it. Sharing photos of her mother and herself, she described her deceased parent as one of the strongest women she knew.
She wrote, “I lost my precious mother this morning. She was d strongest woman I know. Rest in peace Aka Shine. May God keep Ur soul till we meet again."
Her colleagues in the entertainment industry also took to the comment section to sympathize with her.
In 1997, Shan George debuted in the Nollywood movie ‘Thorns of Rose’. Before that, she had appeared in ‘Winds of Destiny’, a 1997 soap opera.
While in her final year at the university, she produced her debut movie ‘All for Winnie’.
