The critically-acclaimed feature had an impressive run at the 2020 Berlinale Film Festival and is now scheduled for a theatrical release on April 23, 2021.
Written by Chuko Esiri and produced by Melissa Adeyemo, Eyimofe follows Mofe, a factory technician, and Rosa, a hairdresser, in their singular quest for a better life abroad.
It stars Jude Akuwudike, Temi Ami-Williams, Cynthia Ebijie, Sadiq Daba, Tomiwa Edun, Jacobs Alexander, Chigul, and Lala Akindoju. It is executive produced by Maiden Alex Ibru, Toke Alex Ibru, Olorogun Oskar Ibru, Kayode Akindele, and Ifeoma Esiri.
Eyimofe was filmed across 48 locations in Lagos, Nigeria, while a few portions were filmed in New York. It opened to extremely positive reviews from critics and was screened at various global international film festivals.
