Nollywood Loses Veteran Actor Jimoh Aliu

The Yoruba sector of the Nollywood industry has again lost another veteran actor, Jimoh Aliu, who died at the age of 85.

Aliu, the producer of popular movie, “Arelu”, died at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, according to reports.

The late actor who celebrated 85th birthday in December 2019 was a former President of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP).

The news of his death was confirmed by actor Bigvai Jokotoye, in a post on Instagram.

Jokotoye wrote "Thank you sir for giving us ARELU, YONPON YANRIN and others. Rest in peace our legend, Pa Jimoh Aliu."

Aliu is a well-respected actor in the Yoruba movie world. He acted for over 4 decades.

He joins the likes of Pa Kasumu, Rasheed Abu, Chizoba Boye, Toyosi Arigbabuwo, and other actors who have passed on in 2020.
