When we talk about Nollywood, we cannot ignore the actresses as they contribute to a large extent to some of the remarkable movies that the industry produces.

The year 2022 saw a good number of actresses feature in top Nollywood films that were commercially successful locally and internationally.

'Battle on Buka Street' simply highlights the typical street lifestyle and follows a food challenge that would focus on who wins the crown as two sisters battle for supremacy.

Tina Mba is Ezinne, the first wife of Maduka, a character that was played by Nkem Owoh.

However, in their polygamous home, things were never rosy as Ezinne and Iya Yejide, a character played by Sola Sobowale, the second wife of Maduka were always on the necks of each other.

In 'Ijakumo', the actress steps into the role of Asabi, a one-time lover of Jide, a character played by Kunle Remi.

Asabi and Jide were once lovers. However, things change when Jide becomes greedy and decides he doesn’t want Asabi in his life; so he attempts to kill her and their unborn child.
