Talented Nigerian singer Nonso Amadi has revealed his admiration for Wizkid’s debut album, ‘Superstar’, and expressed his desire to create a similar masterpiece.
In a recent interview on the Afrobeats podcast with Adesope Olajide, the singer-songwriter shared his thoughts on the impact of Wizkid’s project and the inspiration he draws from it.
Nonso Amadi expressed his deep appreciation for ‘Superstar’, referring to it as one of the projects he absolutely loves to listen to.

He described it as an album where Wizkid poured out his heart, with every song carrying a piece of the artiste’s emotions and experiences.
He particularly mentioned the impact of the album’s final track, where Wizkid took a moment to acknowledge and appreciate everyone who had supported him along his journey.
Inspired by the legacy and impact of ‘Superstar’, Nonso Amadi expressed his aspiration to create a similar album that resonates with listeners across time and seasons.
“One of the projects that I absolutely love to listen to was Wizkid’s ‘Superstar’; the first Wizkid project’. It was him basically pouring out his heart, every song on the album.
“I can imagine myself in the studio with him, hustling. I thought that is such a great album to introduce the world to Wizkid. The last song, he shouted out to everyone that supported him.
“I’m like; I want to create an album like that. That is a legacy project. Wherever or whatever time of the year you listen to it, it hits.
“It is the same feeling I want to encapsulate in my album,” he said.
