North Korea leader Kim Jong Un has ordered the military of his country to intensify more drills should a real war break out, state media said on Friday.
According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), while inspecting the drills, Kim told soldiers to be prepared for "two strategic missions, that is, first to deter war and second to take the initiative in war."
Kim added: "Such units should be steadily intensifying various simulated drills for real war in a diverse way in different situations."
The drill also marked another high-profile appearance for Kim's daughter, Ju Ae.
Kim Jong Un and his daughter Kim Ju Ae were present at the military drill, as both watched their soldiers' preparations.
She is regarded by some experts as Kim's de facto heir.
Believed to be around 11 years old, she was seen sitting near Kim as he inspected the drill.
