NPFL: Bendel Insurance Players Must Not Relent - Eguavoen

Former Super Eagles gaffer Austin Eguavoen has advised Bendel Insurance FC players to remain focused despite their hundred per cent record at the start of the new campaign.

Eguavoen's advice is coming on the back of Bendel Insurance's 3-0 win against Remo Stars at the weekend to extend their unbeaten run to four games and move to the summit of the table in Group A, 3 points adrift the Sky Blue Stars.

"I want to advise the players to be up and doing in terms of commitment and making sacrifices commensurate with the state government's kind gesture and welfare.

"To whom much is given, much is expected," said the former Bendel Insurance FC player."

He added: "The boys should not take their foot off the pedal as that is what brings food to their table and they also have a very good chance to excel in it by playing in bigger clubs.

"A very good work they have all done, the technical crew especially must be commended for their great input.

"Football is not straight, there is definitely going to be a time when things would be rough, but the ability to stick together in times like that matters a lot.
