NPFL: Victory Against Enyimba Not Negotiable - Ayeni

Akwa United head coach Ayodeji Ayeni has expressed that his side is hell-bent on winning their clash against Enyimba FC in their matchday two fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The Promise Keepers were condemned to a 2-1 defeat by newly promoted Bendel Insurance in the opening fixture of the NPFL campaign at the Goodswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo.

Ayeni reiterated that his side made mistakes that cost them the opening match, though he noted that they've worked on their lapses and are prepared to bounce back on Wednesday at the Enyimba International Stadium.

"Victory against Enyimba is not negotiable,"  he said during his pre-match press conference.

"If Bendel Insurance can come to our backyard and beat us, then we have spoken to ourselves and we've made the boys know that we got to be resolute, determined, dedicated and very motivated for us to go back to winning ways.

"The results of the day one matches show that if you put your house together you can get 3 points anywhere, so there is nothing other than victory come Wednesday.

"We watched the game against Insurance and during the week we work on our mistakes to make them corrected."
