The Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has decorated 50 newly promoted officers in the state.
The state Commandant, Waziri Goni urged the officers to remain committed to their duties during the decoration ceremony.
The commandant further called on them to display high level of professionalism in the course of their duties.
According to Punch, the officers include: "four Deputy Commandants of Corps; four Assistant Commandants of Corps; three Chief Superintendents of Corps; four Superintendents of Corps; 13 Deputy Superintendents of Corps; 14 Assistant Superintendents of Corps I; and 10 Assistant Superintendents of Corps II."
According to the commandant: “Congratulations on your new ranks and I want to advise you to rededicate yourselves to duty, respect human rights and uphold the rule of law.
"To whom much is given, more is expected.”
