NSE Index: Market Performance Rises As AIICO Tops Gainer's L

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 5,232.00 deals on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021, higher than the 4,953.00 deals on Monday, February 22nd, 2021. The volume reached 337,955,177.00 units at the close of the market on Tuesday higher than the 289,338,344.00 units it closed with on Monday.

The value of trades recorded on Tuesday was N3,845,103,251.25 with the All-Share Index of 40,164.86 a decrease of 0.03% () over Monday’s value of 40,154.09

The stock market also ended with equity N21.01 of trillion capitalisation on Tuesday lower than the N21.04  trillion equity recorded on Monday

Top Five Gainers
AIICO
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.08 kobo to close trading at N1.2 kobo per share after opening the trading with N1.12 per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Livestock was second on the table, as its stock price gained NGN0.15 kobo to close the market with N2.25  kobo per share, having started trading with N2.1 kobo per share.

Flour Mill was the third top gainer, as its stock price closed the market with NGN1.8 kobo gain to move from the opening price of N29.2 kobo per share to N31 kobo per share.

Zenith Bank takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN1.2 kobo gain to end trading at N26 kobo per share from the opening share price of N24.8 kobo per share.

Cutix was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.1 kobo to close trading at N2.25 kobo per share, having opened trade at N2.15 per share.

Top Five Losers
Sunu
 tops the loser's list today Tuesday, February 23rd 2021, having begun trading at NGN0.81 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.08 kobo to close at NGN0.37 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Lasaco was second on the chart after closing at NGN1.37 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN1.52 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.15 kobo.

Africa Prudential's share price fell by NGN-0.65 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN5.95 kobo per share, lower than the NGN6.6 kobo per share it opened with.

ABC Transport also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.03 to close trading at NGN0.32 per share, below the NGN0.32 kobo per share it opened with.

UPL completed the top five losers chart after it closed trading with NGN1.18 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.11 kobo from the NGN1.29 kobo per share it opened trading with.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Tuesday is FBN Holdings which traded a volume of 64.59 million units worth over N471.8 million.

Zenith Bank was the second on the list with a volume of over 52.67 million units worth over NGN1.34 billion.

Third On the list was Transcorp having traded with 41.99 million units worth NGN38.12 Million.

UCAP was fourth on the most traded stock list today, closing the market with 20.97 million units traded at over NGN128.22 million.

UBA completes the top five list with 18.15 million units traded at NGN153.24 Million.
