NSE Index: Seplat Gains As Market Performance Takes New Shap

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 5,321.00 deals on Monday, February 15th, 2021, lower than the 5,321.00 deals on Friday, February 12th, 2021. The volume reached 206,243,282.00 units at the close of the market on Monday lower than the 1,274,476,759.00 units it closed with on Friday.

The value of trades recorded on Monday was NGN2,163,668,659.57 with the All-Share Index of 40,571.67 an increase of 0.33% (131.83) over Friday’s value of 40,439.85

The stock market also ended with equity of N21.225 trillion capitalisation on Monday higher than the N21.16 trillion equity recorded on Friday.

Top Five Gainers
Seplat
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N49.5 to close trading at N544.5 kobo per share after opening the trading with N495 per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Japaul Gold was second on the table, as its stock price gained NGN0.07 kobo to close the market with N0.78  kobo per share, having started trading today with N0.71 kobo per share.

M Benefit was the third top gainer, as its stock price closed the market with NGN0.04 kobo gain to move from the opening price of N0.42 kobo per share to N0.46 kobo per share.

AIICO takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN0.1 kobo gain to end trading at N1.18 kobo per share from the opening share price of N1.08 kobo per share.

MultiVerse was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.02 kobo to close trading at N0.24 kobo per share, having opened trade at N0.22 per share.

Top Five Losers
Conoil tops the loser list today Monday, Feb 15th 2021, having begun trading at NGN21 per share, only to drop in price by NGN-2.1 kobo to close at NGN18.9 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Royalex was second on the chart after closing at NGN0.27 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN0.3 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.03 kobo.

RTBriscoe's share price fell by NGN-0.02 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN0.2 kobo per share, lower than the NGN0.22 kobo per share it opened with.

CHI also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.04 kobo to close trading at NGN0.42 kobo per share, below the NGN0.46 kobo per share it opened with.

Sovrenins completed the top five losers chart after it closed trading with NGN0.24 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.02 kobo from the NGN0.26 kobo per share it opened trading with.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Friday is Zenith Bank, which traded a volume of 21.51 Million units worth over N539.6 Million.

M Benefit was the second on the list with a volume of over 15 million units worth over NGN6.8 million.

Third On the list was UAC-Prop, having traded this time with 14.72 million units worth over NGN12.07 Million.

Fidelity Bank was fourth on the most traded stock list, closing the market with 14.72 million units traded at over NGN35.9 million.

United Capital completes the top five list with over 13.1 million units traded at over NGN77.8 Million.
