NSE Index: Trades Reach N13.6 Trillion On Close Of Weekly Market

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,895.00 deals on Friday, March 5th, 2021, lower than the 5,486.00  deals on Thursday, March 4th, 2021. The volume reached 587,742,048.00 units at the close of the market on Friday higher than the 493,172,597.00 units it closed with on Thursday.

The value of trades recorded on Friday was N13,615,384,435.42 with the All-Share Index of 39,331.61 a decrease of -0.08% (-33.06) over Thursday's value of 39,364.67

The stock market also ended with equity of N20.58 trillion capitalization on Friday lower than the N20.68 trillion recorded on Thursday

Top Five Gainers
Morison
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.06 to close trading at N0.66 per share after opening the trading with N0.6 per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Wapco was second on the chart, as its stock price gained NGN2.00 kobo to close the market with N22.2 kobo per share, having started trading with N20.20 kobo per share.

Nem been third on the gainers' list closed the market with NGN1.72 kobo per share from the opening price of N1.89 kobo per share which represent an increase of N0.17 kobo gain in the share price.

Skyway Aviation takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN3.33 kobo gain to end trading at N3.04 kobo per share from the opening share price of N0.29 kobo per share.

Unity Bank was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.06 kobo to close trading at N0.73 kobo per share, having opened trade at N0.67 per share.

Top Five Losers
Trans Express
tops the decliners' list today Friday, March 5th, 2021, having begun trading at NGN0.9 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.09 kobo to close at NGN0.81 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Tripple Gee was second on the chart after closing at NGN0.72 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN0.8 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.08  kobo.

UhomReit also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-4.05 kobo to close trading at NGN36.6 kobo per share, below the NGN40.65 kobo per share it opened with.

Cutix's share price fell by NGN-0.2 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN1.81 kobo per share, lower than the NGN2.01 kobo per share it opened with.

SCOA completed the top five decliners chart after it closed trading with NGN2.64 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.29 kobo from the NGN2.93 kobo per share it opened trading with.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Friday 5th March 2021 is AxaMansard which traded a volume of over 282.32 million units worth N282.43 million.

Zenith Bank is the second on the list with a volume of over 46.85 million units worth NGN1.18 billion.

Third On the list is FBN Holdings having traded with over 26.50 million units worth NGN185.95 Million.

UBA was fourth on the most traded stock list today, closing the market with 23.29 million units traded at NGN184.59 million.

GTBank completes the top five list with over 20.83 million units traded at NGN645.43 Million.
