NSE Index: Unity Bank Trade Volume Reaches 1 Billion Units

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,040.00 deals on Thursday, March 18th, 2021, lower than the 4,103.00 deals on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021. The volume reached 1,468,421,633.00 units at the close of the market on Thursday higher than the 177,396,341.00 units it closed with on Wednesday.

The value of trades recorded on Thursday was N5,853,549,889.88 with the All-Share Index of 38,914.84 an increase of 0.54% (208.71) over Wednesday's value of 38,706.13

The stock market also ended with an equity cap of N20.36 trillion capitalization on Thursday higher than the N20.25 trillion recorded on Wednesday

Top Five Gainers
Eterna
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.46 to close trading at N5.08 kobo per share after opening the trading with N4.62 kobo per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Lasaco Assurancewas second on the chart, as its stock price gained NGN0.10 kobo to close the market with N1.30 kobo per share, having started trading with N1.20 kobo per share.

Zenith Bank been third on the gainers' list closed the market with NGN22.00 kobo per share from the opening price of N20.50 kobo per share which represents an increase of N1.5 kobo gain in the share price.

GTBank takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN1.80 kobo gain to end trading at N29.80 kobo per share from the opening share price of N28.00 kobo per share.

Dangote Sugar was last on the list after its share price gained NGN1.00 kobo to close trading at N17.00 kobo per share, having opened trade at N16.00 per share.

Top Five Losers
Linkage Assurance
tops the decliners' list today Thursday, March 18th, 2021, having begun trading at NGN0.55 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.05 kobo to close at NGN0.50 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Wapic Insurance was second on the chart after closing at NGN0.50 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN0.55 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.05 kobo.

ABC Transport also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.02 kobo to close trading at NGN0.28 kobo per share, below the NGN0.30 kobo per share it opened with.

Sterling bank share price fell by NGN-0.10 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN1.47 kobo per share, lower than the NGN1.57 kobo per share it opened with.

Honeywell Flour Mill completed the top five decliners chart after it closed trading with NGN1.18 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.07 kobo from the NGN1.25 kobo per share it opened trading with.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Thursday 18th March 2021 is Unity Bank which traded a volume of over 1.00 billion units worth over N700.69 million.

Multiverse Mining is the second on the list with a volume of 200.19 million units worth NGN40.04 million.

Third On the list is GTbank having traded with over 122.18 million units worth over N3.55 billion.

Zenith Bank was fourth on the most traded stock market list today, closing the market with over N32.84 million units traded at over NGN711.91 million.

FBN Holdings completes the top five list with over 18.97 million units traded at over NGN137.82 Million.
