NSE Index: Zenith Bank's Value Hits N1.24 Billion

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,470.00 deals on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021, lower than the 4,673.00  deals on Monday, March 1st, 2021. The volume reached 222,573,570.00 units at the close of the market on Tuesday lower than the 543,986,690.00 units it closed with on Monday.

The value of trades recorded on Tuesday was N5,390,312,418.19 with the All-Share Index of 39,697.62 an increase of -0.59% () over Monday's value of 39,931.63

The stock market also ended with equity of over N20.77 trillion capitalization on Tuesday lower than the N20.89 trillion recorded on Monday

Top Five Gainers
Academy
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.04 kobo to close trading at N0.45 kobo per share after opening the trading with N0.41 kobo per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

PZ was second on the table, as its stock price gained NGN0.45 kobo to close the market with N5.25 kobo per share, having started trading with N4.8 kobo per share.

Beta Glass was the third top gainer, as its stock price closed the market with NGN4 gain to move from the opening price of N50 per share to N54 per share.

Royal Exchange takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN0.02 kobo gain to end trading at N0.27 kobo per share from the opening share price of N0.26 per share.

Regalins was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.02 kobo to close trading at N0.28 kobo per share, having opened trade at N0.26 per share.

Top Five Losers
MBenefit
tops the loser's list today Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021, having begun trading at NGN0.4 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.04 kobo to close at NGN0.36 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Ardova was second on the chart after closing at NGN16.25 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN18.05 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-1.8 kobo.

Champion also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.22 to close trading at NGN2.05 kobo per share, below the NGN2.27 per share it opened with.

Inits's share price fell by NGN-0.05 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN0.47 kobo per share, lower than the NGN0.52 kobo per share it opened with.

Sterling Bank completed the top five losers chart after it closed trading with NGN1.46 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.14 kobo from the NGN1.6 kobo per share it opened trading with.

AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Tuesday 2nd March 2021 is Zenith Bank which traded a volume of over 48.1 million units worth N1.24billion.

UCAP is the second on the list with a volume of 20.34 million units worth over NGN121.7 million.

Third On the list is Mbenefit having traded with over 19.44 million units worth over NGN7.22 Million.

Japaul Gold was fourth on the most traded stock list today, closing the market with 17.06 million units traded at over NGN10.48 million.

Mansard completes the top five list with over 8.97 million units traded at NGN9.38 Million.
