NSE Market Data: Investors Gain N3.88 bn As All-Share Index

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 6,130 deals on Wednesday significantly higher than Tuesday's 4,675 with trade volumes reaching a total of 356,461,102 units at market closing.

The value of trades recorded on Wednesday boosted to N4,193,302,105, edging up the All-Share Index by 0.02% to 38,774.03.

Top Five Gainers
Jaiz Bank Plc
 led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained 10 percent or 6kobo to close trading at 66kobo per share according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

The Initiates Plc ranked second, gaining 9.52 percent, or 4kobo, to close the market at 46kobo per share, having opened trading at 42kobo per share.

Royal Exchange Plc gained 8.33 percent equivalent to 3kobo to be the third top advancer in the market today, closing at 39kobo per share.

Japaul Oil and Maritime Services Plc extended its gains once again to come in fourth on the top gainers' list, after its share price gained 8.16 percent, or 4kobo, to close the market at 53kobo per share, having opened trading at 49kobo per share.

Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc was number five on the list as its share price gained 2kobo, or 6.9 percent to close trading at 31kobo per share.

Top Five Losers
Sterling Bank Plc
 topped the decliners' list for Wedsesday, as the company's stock dropped by 9.47 percent, or 16kobo to close at N1.53 per share at the end of trading.

Pharma Deko Plc. came second on the list after its stock price dipped 9.46 percent or 14kobo to close trading at N1.34 per share.

Prestige Assurance Plc recorded a 8.7 percent drop in its market share price as it lost 4kobo to close at 42kobo per share.

Ardova Plc share price fell by N1.05 to record a 6.91 percent drop, as its share price closed trading at N14.15 per share.

Livestock Feeds Plc completed the list after it closed trading with a 5.88 percent loss of 11 kobo to stand at N1.76 per share.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learned that the most traded in the stock market for Wednesday 7th April 2021 was Zenith Bank Plc, having a trading volume of over 55 million units valued at over N1.15 billion.

Access Bank Plc is the second on the list with a volume of over 38 million units valued approximately at N308.55 million.

Third on the list is Transcorp Hotels Plc having traded with almost 32 million units valued at over N24.9 million.

GT Bank Plc was the fourth most traded stock today, closing the market with over N29 million units traded at a value of N819.08 million.

Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc completes the top five list with over 25 million units traded at a value of N10.02 million.
