NSE Market Data: Investors Lose N78bn As All Share Index Dip

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,675 deals on Tuesday higher than the 4,450 it closed with on Thursday with trade volumes reaching a total of 239,421.124.00 units at market closing.

The value of trades recorded on Tuesday edged lower to N2,143,445,981.33 from Thursday's N2,315,549,915.21, bringing the All-Share Index down -0.39% to 38,766.61.

Top Five Gainers
Eterna Plc
 led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained 9.91 percent or 51kobo to close trading at N5.99 per share according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Linkage Assurance Plc  followed closely, gaining 9.72 percent, or 7kobo, to close the market at 79kobo per share, having opened trading at 72kobo per share.

Royal Exchange Plc gained 9.09 percent equivalent to 3kobo to be the third top advancer in the market today, closing at 36kobo per share.

Japaul Oil and Maritime Services Plc extended its gains to come in fourth on the top gainers' list, after its share price gained 8.89 percent, or 4 kobo, to close the market at 0.49 kobo per share, having opened trading at 0.45 kobo per share.

FCMB Group Plc was number five on the list as its share price gained 13kobo, or 4.59 percent to close trading at N2.96 per share.

Top Five Losers
MRS Oil
 topped the decliners' list for Tuesday, as the company's stock dropped by 9.92 percent, or N1.2 to close at N10.9 per share at the end of trading.

Aluminium Extrusion Ind. Plc. came second on the list after its stock price dipped 9.88 percent or 80kobo to close trading at N7.30 per share.

Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc recorded a -9.37 percent drop in its market share price as it lost 3kobo to close at  29kobo per share.

Sterling Bank Plc's share price fell by 16kobo to record a 8.65 percent drop, as its share price closed trading at N1.69 kobo per share.

Guinness Nig. Plc completed the list after it closed trading with a 8.08 percent loss of N2.9 in its market activity to stand at N35.9 per share.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learned that the most traded in the stock market for Tuesday 6th April 2021 remained UACN Property Development Plc, having a trading volume of over 34 million units valued at over  N337.6 million.

Access Bank Plc is the second on the list with a volume of over 26 million units valued approximately at N214.93 million.

Third on the list is FBN Holdings Plc having traded with almost 19 million units valued at over N137.4 million.

Zenith Bank Plc was the fourth most traded stock today, closing the market with over N16 million units traded at a value of over N364.3 million.

Fidelity Bank Plc completes the top five list with 15 million units traded at a value of N39.15 million.
