NSE Market Report: Japaul Gold Extends Winning Streak Among

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 3,525 deals on Thursday, significantly less than Wednesday's 6,130 shredding trade volumes to a total of 145,331,844 units at market closing.

Trade values were down to 1,575,623,116, while the All-share index ticked up 0.07 percent

Top Five Gainers
Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc
 was the top gainer as it extended its wins with a 9.68 percent gain, or 3kobo, to close trading at 34kobo per share according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Japaul Gold Plc ranked second after extending its gains for the fourth day, gaining 9.43 percent, or 5kobo, to close trading at 58kobo per share, having opened at 53kobo per share.

Oando Plc gained 5.16 percent, equivalent to 16kobo to be the third top advancer in the market today, closing at N3.1 per share.

AIICO Insurance Plc came in fourth on the top gainers' list, after its share price gained 5 percent, or 6kobo, to close the market at 1.26kobo per share, having opened trading at N1.26 per share.

Zenith Bank Plc was number five on the list as its share price gained 3.81 percent, or 8kobo to close trading at N21.8 per share.

Top Five Losers
Royal Exchange Plc
 topped the decliners' list for Thursday, as the company's stock dropped by 7.69 percent, or 3kobo to close trading at 36kobo per share.

Jaiz Bank Plc came second on the list after its stock price dipped 6.06 percent or 4kobo to close trading at 62kobo per share.

Honeywell Flour Mill Plc recorded a 5.04 percent drop in its market share price as it lost 6kobo to close at N1.13 per share.

Linkage Assurance Plc's share price fell by 4kobo to record a 4.76 percent drop, closing trading at 80kobo per share.

DAAR Communications Plc completed the list tieing its spot with a 4.76 percent loss of 1 kobo to stand at 20kobo per share.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learned that the most traded in the stock market for Thursday 8th April 2021 was FBN Holdings Plc, having a trading volume of over 21.8 million units valued at over N157.18 million.

GT Bank Plc came second on the list with a volume of over 20.5 million units valued approximately at N589.17 million.

Third on the list is Zenith Bank Plc having traded over 17.5 million units valued at almost N379.9 million.

Access Bank Plc was the fourth most traded stock today, closing the market with almost N8.6 million units traded at a value of N68.89 million.

Japaul Gold Plc completes the top five list with over 7.58 million units traded at a value of N4.34 million.
