NSHA Passes ₦149.3 Billion 2023 Budget Into Law

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) has passed the appropriation bill of over ₦149.3 billion for the 2023 fiscal year. 

Speaker Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe announced the passage at plenary in Lafia on Tuesday. 

According to him, the bill if assented by the Governor, Abdullahi Sule into law would accelerate economic growth and development of the state. 

Balarabe urged the state government to ensure full implementation of the budget in order to improve on the standard of living of the People. 

He charged the managements of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to adhere strictly to budgetary provisions in the interest of peace and development.

The approved budget was about ₦357.8 million higher than the proposed sum of ₦148.9 billion earlier presented to the House by Governor Sule for consideration and approval.
