NYSC: Corps Members Charged To Ensure Credible Elections In

In preparation for the 2023 general elections, members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have been urged not to compromise and to discharge their assignment with the fear of God in order to ensure a credible election.

They were also charged to avoid inducement of any form as the electorates have utmost faith in them as ambassadors of the scheme.

This charge was given by the Osun State NYSC State Coordinator, Abdulwahab Olayinka during the official closing ceremony of the 2022 Batch C Stream I orientation course for corps members deployed to Osun State on Tuesday at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Ede.

Abdulwahab who urged the corps members not to disappoint the faith the people reposed in them advised them to discharge their duties at their places of primary assignment with the utmost sense of duty.

She also asked them to focus more on what they can give to better the lives of the people in their host communities.

"The people of your host communities have been awaiting your coming having seen what your predecessors have achieved, they look forward to having you around them knowing well that you have the wherewithal to impart them positively.

"Ensure you discharge your duties at your places of primary assignment with the utmost sense of duty and be committed to the ethics of the organisation you are listed to.

"Do not be truant and avoid and avoid getting late to your PPAs. I urge you as an individual to identify a felt need in your community and mobilise to meet that need."
