NYSC Gets New Coordinator

Abdullahi Ahmed-Jikamshi has assumed office as the 28th State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Sokoto state.

This is contained in a statement signed by Sani Idris, the NYSC Public Relations Officer in Sokoto, on Saturday.

Ahmed-Jikamshi, a seasoned administrator who hails  from Jikamshi, Musawa Local Government Area in Katsina, took over from Philip Enaberue, who was moved  to National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja.

The new coordinator, had during a maiden management staff members meeting at NYSC secretariat on Friday, promised to operate an open door policy and improve the staff and corps members’ welfare.

He assured that ‘Inspection, Increase in Ventures, Community Development Service, Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development’ programmes were paramount to him.

Ahmed-Jikamshi solicited  support of members of staff and other relevant stakeholders to take the scheme to greater heights in the state.

Until Ahmed-Jikamshi’s appointment as the new Coordinator of the NYSC Sokoto state, he was the Deputy Director on special duties at the headquarters.
