Former students of The Polytechnic Ibadan who are yet to collect their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificates have been advised by the management of the institution to do so.
The Public Relations Officer of the polytechnic, Alhaji Soladoye Adewole, made this known in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan on Monday.
In a memo from the NYSC dated December 15 addressed to the Rector of the institution, the scheme mandated all institutions producing corps members to return all unclaimed exception certificates in their custody to the NYSC headquarters on or before March 15, 2023.
Adewole stated that the decision was made in line with a new policy by the NYSC, urging all former students who are yet to claim their exemption certificates from the school to do so.
The PRO noted that all unclaimed certificates would be returned to the NYSC headquarters before the expiration of the deadline given by the scheme.
“Beginning from the next Batch of Exemption certificates to be delivered to corps-producing institutions, all unclaimed copies shall be returned to NYSC within six months of receipts from the scheme,” the memo read.
