There was anxiety in Iree, headquarters of Boripe North Local Council Development Area of Osun State on Thursday as suspected hoodlums set buildings inside the Aree’s palace ablaze.
This reportedly led to the blockage of major roads in the town.
The incident it was gathered occured when operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested the Aogun of Iree, Chief Soliu Atoyebi.
This makes it the second palace set ablaze within the space of two weeks in the state.
In November, the palace of the Akinrun of Ikinrun was set ablaze by protesting town's people who did not want Oba Yinusa Olalekan Akadiri to occupy the palace.
