A strange occurrence took place when mourners who thronged the palace of late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, Alaafin of Oyo, were stung by bees on Saturday.

Eyewitnesses report that the attack took place at about 10 am after Islamic clerics had arrived at the palace in preparation for the burial of the monarch who died on Friday night.

Alaafin Of Oyo: Burial Arrangements Revealed

Following the announcement of the demise of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, plans are already in top gear for the burial of the late monarch on Saturday palace, as sources have revealed.

According to an anonymous palace source, the late Alaafin’s remains will be committed to mother earth by 4 pm, Saturday, April 23.

The corpse will be taken to Baara, the final resting place of all the Alaafin of Oyo.
