The Oba Ogboni Agbaye, Oba Adetoyese Olakisan, has been laid to rest according to traditional rite.
He was buried in his palace directly opposite the popular Oke-Imesi, where the peace treaty between the Oyo and Ekiti Parapo warriors was signed.
It was reported that Oba Olakisan, his wife, his daughter in-law, a civil defence personnel and a police officer died in a fatal accident while on the trail of some kidnappers who adopted two of his wives at Imesi-Ile, Osun State on Monday.
Reports say the three of them died on the spot while the traditional ruler's wife and his daughter in-law died in the hospital.
One of the two abductees regained her freedom yesterday and was rescued in Ekiti State.
It was gathered that the attackers who besieged the residence of the Oluaye communicated in Yoruba and Fulfulde languages and asked those they met at home to give them the ancient Ogboni crown and certificate of installation of the deceased.
