Obasanjo Assures Late Aseyin Family Of Support

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has assured the family of the late Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Abdulganiy Salawudeen Adekunle of his support towards their future endeavours.

Obasanjo gave the assurance on Saturday when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the late monarch in Iseyin.

Oba Abdulganiy Salawudeen Adekunle, the traditional ruler of Iseyin land, died in the early hours of Sunday July 24, 2022, at the age of 62 years after reigning for 15 years on the throne

“I was supposed to have been here since the death of Kabiyesi but for many national assignments that have been taking me across Africa and beyond, today we came through Ibadan to check on one of us, Chief Omololu Olunloyo who is critically ill, I pray God gives him quick recovery.

“We do not need to be sermonising for you, we cannot blame God for what he has done, our prayer is that all he left behind continue to prosper.

“I will still be in constant touch with the palace along with Mayegun (Chief Olayiwola Olakojo) and I will reach out to the Queens and the children with our support,” he said.

Chief Obasanjo was accompanied to Iseyin by the former Secretary to Oyo State government, Chief Olayiwola Olakojo

Chief Obasanjo during the visit also prayed for the repose of the soul of the king.
