Nollywood actor cum politician, Yul Edochie has waded in on unfolding drama between Nigerian singer, Burna Boy and human rights activist Omoyele Sowore.
AllNews earlier reported that Burna Boy turned down Sowore's call for him to join anti-government protest on Nigeria's Independence day.
In a tweet on Tuesday, September 29, the activist reached out to Burna Boy saying "Hello @burnaboy, everywhere I turn people describe you as a revolutionary musician, the foreign media even celebrate you compare you to Fela Kuti, but I am yet to see you lead anyone to a police station carrying a coffin for head of state! Join #Oct1stProtest #RevolutionNow"
Responding, the "Ye" singer asked Sowore to leave him out of the protest, adding that he never trusts any Nigerian politician because they all are the same.
"Everybody is a Fela fan and supporter now that he is dead. Humans are so Funny, You politicians are ALL the same (especially in Nigeria) and Frankly, I don’t trust none of you.@YeleSowore."
However, reacting to Burna Boy's tweet, Edochie said the singer does not have to be a politician before he speaks up.
The actor wrote "To my brother @burnaboy I'm a big fan of yours, you are one of the greatest. But that aside, I want to let you know that you don't have to trust politicians before you speak up. Our country isn't working & it's the duty of every real man to lend his voice to the struggle."

I'm a big fan of yours, you are one of the greatest.
But that aside, I want to let you know that you don't have to trust politicians before you speak up.
Our country isn't working & it's the duty of every real man to lend his voice to the struggle.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy's response did not sit well with Twitter users who said he claims that Fela's blood runs in his veins, but cannot join a protest.
It did not end there as many called him a coward while recounting a time he blasted the youths
