Nigerian musician Odumodublvck recently revealed that he turned down an offer to perform at the forthcoming inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu.
In a tweet, the rapper expressed that the event organisers approached him for a performance, but he declined the invitation.
He attributed his decision to their failure to conduct proper research before extending the offer.
“THEY TRIED TO GET ME TO PERFORM AT THE INAUGURATION.
"THEY DID NOT DO THEIR RESEARCH,” he tweeted.

THEY DID NOT DO THEIR RESEARCH.
The tweet made by Odumodublvck is directly related to his lyrics on the track ‘Vex’, a collaboration with Teezee and Candy Bleakz.
In his verse, he mentions his hope for Peter Obi to come to his aid, reveals receiving direct messages from Atiku, and mentions Tinubu reaching out to make him his Prime Minister.
However, he humorously states that he wouldn’t accept the offer unless Tinubu buys him ‘loud’.
Meanwhile, preparations for the inauguration are underway, with about 65 world leaders, including Heads of State, being invited to grace the momentous occasion.
Past presidents, diplomats, heads of international organizations, prominent Nigerians, and representatives from foreign governments and agencies are also expected to attend the seventh transition ceremony.
The inauguration programs are set to commence on Thursday, and the first segment will involve the investiture of Bola Tinubu as the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic.
Additionally, the Vice-President-elect, Kashim Shettima, will be honoured with the title of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger.
As the inauguration draws near, attention is focused on the various events and ceremonies that will mark the formal assumption of the presidency by Bola Tinubu, who will become the 16th President of Nigeria on May 29.
