Odunlade Sensitises Ogun State Residents On Health Insurance

In a bid to promote Health Insurance among Ogun State residents, Odunlade Adekola, Ogun Health Insurance Scheme Ambassador has taken the scheme to major markets and parks in the state.

The ace Nollywood actor who was accompanied by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr Tayo Lawal, the Executive Secretary, Ogun State Health Insurance Agency, Dr Afolabi Dosumu and other government officials went on a roadshow within Abeokuta metropolis to sensitise residents about the scheme.

According to Odunlade, Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s investment in the health scheme would help them irrespective of their occupation when they are sick.

He noted that the monthly payment of N1,000 per person and N4,000 for a family of six would help fast-track the government’s effort toward achieving universal health coverage.

“None of us prays for sickness but as we grow older, we tend to naturally have some health issues, which call for care.

“With the monthly payment of N1,000 per person or N4,000 for a family of six, you don’t have to run from pillar to post to access healthcare.

“You will be issued an identity card, which contains your details after completing your registration and you will be allocated to the closest health facility to your house,” he said.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the team visited the Kuto Market, Sapon, Onida, Itoku, Lafenwa and Oke-Ilewo areas of the city.
