OFFICIAL: Dortmund Sign Belgium International Thomas Meunier

Belgium International, Thomas Meunier, has put pen to paper for the Signal Iduna Park side making him the third Belgian international to sign for the German club.

Meunier has been a long term target for Tottenham Hotspur, with Manchester United and Chelsea having also shown interest in recent weeks.

But according to Bild, the Belgium international is heading to Germany having penned a four-year deal with Dortmund.

PSG have already been declared champions of France this term after the season was declared finished during the coronavirus pandemic.

But by leaving Paris at the end of June, Meunier has elected against signing a short term deal at the Parc des Princes that would have enabled him to play for the French champions in the final stages of this term's Champions League.

After ironically knocking Dortmund out in the last-16 before the outbreak led to football's pause, PSG are in the quarter-finals of the competition which comes to completion at the end of August.

The 28-year-old is one of the few experienced players who are set to depart PSG this summer with Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva also looking likely to leave.

Meunier has enjoyed a four-year spell in France where he has won the league title three times in four years, playing 128 games for PSG in all competitions.

Dortmund play their final Bundesliga match of this season against Hoffenheim on Saturday.
