Official: Kevin De Bruyne Becomes 3rd Belgian To Win EPL Pla

Manchester City player, Kevin De Bruyne, has been named the EPL Player of the Season award after a stunning season at the Ethiad stadium. The former Wolfsburg man became the 3rd Belgian to win the award after the likes of former teammates, Vincent Kompany and former Chelsea man, Eden Hazard.

He became the 2nd player in the Manchester City squad to win an award this season after Ederson Moraes won the best goalkeeper of the season with more clean sheets. 

The 29-year-old playmaker produced 20 assists in the 2019-20 campaign, equalling the record of most assists set by former Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry in the 2002-03 season.

He scored 13 goals making 1905 passes with 116 out of it being key passes. He has a passing accuracy of 81%.

He was the only Manchester City player nominated for the award along with Liverpool trio, Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, Trent Alexander Arnold, Burnley goalkeeper, Nick pope, Leicester City Golden Boot winner, Jamie Vardy.

He won the award but could not help his side defend the EPL title which was taken by Liverpool for the first time in 30 years.

Alexander Arnold won the young player of the season award, Jurgen Kloop won the best manager award while the best goal of the season was given to Son Heung-Min.

The signified the end of the season as the new season is scheduled to start on the 12th of September.
