Ogun Assembly Wields Big Stick, Suspends Two Lawmakers

Ogun Assembly Wields Big Stick, Suspends Two Lawmakers

Two lawmakers from the Ogun State House of Assembly have been expelled from the House.

Oludare Kadiri from Ijebu North II and Solomon Osho from the Remo North State constituencies are the two lawmakers who have been suspended.

The two members had ran foul of section 17 of the House Authority and Privileges, according to the Speaker of the House of Assembly Olakunle Oluomo, who made the announcement during plenary at the House of Assembly Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

Oluomo insisted that the pair, who were determined to have repeatedly violated House privileges and leadership, were still barred from participating in house events up until further notice.

Later, the House postponed the regular session until Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
