Ogun Fatal Accident Claims Four, Others Injured

A fatal road accident in Abeokuta has claimed the lives of four passengers.

Information obtained by AllNews Nigeria revealed that the accident occurred around Adaranijo axis, Adedero outbound Abeokuta, PMB Expressway, Obafemi/Owode local government on Thursday night.

The crash involved a blue coloured Toyota Sienna with registration number AAA307GN and a loaded Sino Cement Truck with registration number WDL418XA.

Eyewitnesses stated that the accident was caused by overspeeding on the part of the driver of the Toyota Sienna car.

According to them, the overspeeding resulted in him hitting the loaded cement truck from the rear while on motion.

Apart from the four who lost their lives as a result of the crash, three other male occupants sustained serious injuries.

The injured victims were taken to the State Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta for medical treatment while the dead bodies were deposited at State Hospital Morgue, Ijaiye, Abeokuta.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Ogun State Police Command, the Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and Ogun TRACE were yet to officially comment on the accident.
