The So-Safe Corps in Ogun State has secured the release of a cattle rearer identified as Oseni after he was kidnapped in Olorunda-Lukosi, Ito, Owode-Egba local area of Ogun State.
The kidnap victim was rescued on Friday, January 21, 2023, after a distress call was received by the So-Safe Corps Patrol Team.
According to a statement signed by Moruf Yusuf, the Ogun So-Safe spokesperson, Oseni was kidnapped at Olorunda-Lukosi, Iro, Owode-Egba local government area on January 19, 2023.
The statement which emanated from the office of Soji Ganzallo, the So-Safe Commander stated that the kidnappers immediately dispossessed their victim of the sum of N130,000 with the documents of his motorcycle.
Ganzallo noted that along the line, the suspected Kidnappers demanded N4,000,000 as ransom before they could release their victim known as Oseni.
He revealed that the victim's family agreed to pay the said ransom without the knowledge that the suspected kidnappers would fail.
The So-Safe Corps Patrol Team's timely response led to the arrest of two suspected kidnappers while others are at large despite the intensive combing of the location.
"The arrested kidnappers are Mohammed Lawale, aged 20 years, of Sharagi Area of Karaoke.
"The other suspected kidnapper identified as Sarafa Asimiu, aged 25 Years, of Oke-Aje, Ibadan, resident of Amusa Yusuf house.
"After preliminary interrogation of the suspected Kidnappers, the suspects and the rescued victim unhurt had been handed over to the Nigeria Police, Iro Post."
