Ogun: NNPP Says Guber Candidate From The Region

Ogun: NNPP Says Guber Candidate From The Region

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ogun State has stated that Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, its guber candidate in the general election is from the state.

The party made the confirmation in a statement signed by the spokesperson of the party, Comrade Olowu Olayemi, on Monday.

A group, Yewa Young FronLiners (YYF) had alleged that the NNPP Guber candidate, Ajadi is not from the state.

The party has, however, said the group that sponsored the allegation is made of political jobbers, with propaganda, lies and blackmail as their stock in trade.

The party also insisted that those behind the erroneous report are not far-fetched, describing them as unscrupulous elements within the party in the state.

Olayemi explained that those who were peddling the rumour have sold their conscience for love of inducements.

"The sponsors of the rumour have betrayed the party, alleging that the accusers took part in anti-party activities because of the money they were given.

"Truly Ajadi was born in Ibadan but lived all his life in Ilaro, where his mother comes from and Ibafo and these were shown in all documents and forms he submitted for the election.

"There was no place where Ajadi lied on oath or denied being born in Ibadan."

Olayemi stressed that Ajadi had lived most of his life over forty (40) years in Ilaro and Ibafo. He concluded that by naturalisation, Ajadi is also an indigene of Ogun State.

“This unpopular group said Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo is not from Iyalode Dynasty Family in Ilaro.

“This set of individuals betrayed the party they claimed they love, they took part in anti-party activities because of the money they were given.

"We have it on good authority the details of the amount they collected to betray the course of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Ogun State Chapter.

“Again for the avoidance of doubts, Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo remains steadfast, dedicated and committed to a new Nigeria and he is a bonafide indigene of Ogun state by naturalisation.

"We challenge anybody who has information that proves otherwise to come to the mainstream media and make their case."
